Introduction to Pastels
Pastels have been prized for centuries for their strength and flexibility. They offer the most pigment of any medium resulting in great color saturation and stability. This half day workshop begins with an introduction to the range of soft pastels and papers available today, followed by a demonstration of techniques mixed in with a little color theory. We will also provide tips for framing and resources for pastel products. Bring your own reference material, work plein air on the farm or set up a still life in the studio.
